Our laboratory can perform a wide range of diagnostic tests including blood biochemistry and haematology, parasitology, bacteriology and urinalysis. Routine profiles can provide a lot of valuable information from a single blood sample. Particularly useful for pre-anaesthetic monitoring and investigation purposes, we find that such profiles are also useful in the screening of geriatric patients. Being on site, in an emergency we can have results ready within minutes, but routinely we aim for a 24 hour turnaround.

Same day results are also available for ovulation tests in bitches, leukaemia and immunosuppressive virus in cats and milk progesterone in cattle. A further range of more complex tests is provided by external laboratories, with faxed results causing minimal delay.
