Emergency attention is provided at any time of the day or night, but please phone before coming to the surgery so that the appropriate staff are available and the decks are cleared ready for your arrival. At times when the surgery is closed - overnight, at weekends and during public holidays - there is always a vet on call for emergencies. We operate a 24 hour, 365 day a year service.

If you need help, call the normal surgery number ­ 01435 864422. If the duty vet is away from the base phone, you will be given further instructions so that you can communicate directly. If you are concerned about your animal but unsure whether or not the problem constitutes an emergency, please phone and ask.  We are happy to discuss the situation with you and decide together the urgency of the call.

Whilst we never mind turning out to attend a sick animal at any time of the day or night, please remember that our out of hours service is for emergencies only. Our families see little enough of us at the best of times, so we would appreciate you calling us during office hours for routine enquiries or general advice.
