Careers advice
We get many enquiries from young people considering veterinary medicine or nursing as a career. The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons has good information on its web site,
www.rcvs.org.uk
Like most veterinary practices, we have a constant stream of people wanting to spend time observing or assisting with our daily routine. These vary from the youngster hooked on Vets in Practice through the teenager seriously considering a future career to the students already studying for a veterinary degree and needing to gain practical experience as an important part of the course.
Although we feel that we must give precedence to vet students, we do try to encourage applicants of any level to come along and see the realities of life in a mixed general veterinary practice. We have to restrict our intake of younger students due to the large number of applications, but if you are interested please contact one of the partners.
